Olive Branch Preserves is a family business based in Central Victoria and offers preserves made with passion from wholesome ingredients, and old-style goodness. The eye catching names of the range are fun and quirky but also show the individual character of each product.
Our range of products
Trampy Tomato Relish and Devilish Date and Lime Pickle which are now local legends. Kowabunga Kasoundi – for those who like a lot of chilli and Kool Kasoundi for those who don’t, are Indian inspired relishes flavoured with a blend of robust spices.
Our new range includes Rockin Raspberry and Berry Bomb Jam which explode with flavour and Cheeky Chilli Jam which is sweet and spicy and is perfect with meats and savoury dishes. All the preserves and there are currently40 in our range areprepared with natural and whenever possible locally-sourced ingredients.
About the maker
We decided to do the’ treechange’ with a view to retiring and enjoy the country life style in Taradale.
I had always made jams and chutneys, for the school fete, for the church, as well as for our own use. My parents, refugees after the war, were horrified by waste, and my
mother made lots of jams when fruit was abundant. I remember chopping fruit with her it seems all summer. I think a lot of her attitude stuck with me.I still cook in the
same way as I always have, using quality ingredients, local when possible, with no artificial additivesand in small batches. I get the same satisfaction from producing my
jams and chutneys as I did years ago when I made a few jars here and there.
